Lately I've been busy with two things I absolutely adore. Softball and friends.
Every Wednesday night I get to re-live the glory days and spend a few hours on the softball field with a bunch of other women. We attempt to pretend that we are all still as fast, strong, and skilled as we once were. Brett missed almost this whole last season while he was out of town, so now he's making sure to come whenever he can. Not only is he my biggest cheerleader, but apparently he's my own personal photog as well! He took all these pics, without any prodding from me! It's so nice that he supports me and is there to cheer me on.
Tagging another player out after she led off too far.
My home run hit, caught in action!
Stealing from 2nd, and sliding into 3rd base. Yes, I was safe!
Some more great hitting shots.
With the boy's third year wrapping down, we've been able to spend alot of time with friends to celebrate. One of our friends Mandy is pregnant, so of course we decided to throw her a shower. Basically, any excuse for a party! It was so much fun to have a bunch of the girls together and we missed those who couldn't be there. Thanks to everyone for coming!
What is a party without food?!
Playing games and opening presents.
We are all now very well versed with the different baby food flavors. YUCK!!
Friends Forever!!
Rachel, that group picture makes you look like you are 8 feet tall. You should hang up the bat and ball and focus on a real sport like basketball.... hahaha! We had fun with Brett and already miss him. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWow.. I didn't know you play softball. How fun! I totally miss playing sports. Thanks for coming on Saturday. I love the cute outfit!!!
ReplyDeletethat is so fun to see pictures of you playing softball! what a sweet hubby to take those for you. i wish i could do something like that and re-live the glory days of tumbling and cheerleading! ha! thanks again for throwing the shower and also for sending me all those pictures through email! it was such a blast and you were the perfect hostess with the cutest decorations!
ReplyDeleteSo I'm a jerk & didn't e-mail you like I told you I would. I'm a bad friend. But hopefully you'll think I'm a good friend when we come visit next week...I'm going to call you sometime tomorrow or the next day...
ReplyDeleteI love sneaking over to your blog and seeing pictures of Kalie. It's so fun to see her as one of your friends.
ReplyDeleteGood job on the baseball game; I have never really mastered any sport except being able to run. It doesn't require alot of talent. :)
You totally look like an athlete, now that I think of it. And the pictures make you look like a pro. Note to self...NEVER play with Rachel unless I want my butt kicked! :) I can't wait to play on "easier" leagues when I get home!
